Pre-Budget Scrutiny 2024-25: The Sustainability of Scotland's Finances

Chart 1a is a bar chart showing GDP estimates for the months January to July. It shows variations from month to month between 0.7% (approx) GDP to -0.4% GDP. Chart 1b is a line graph showing the cumulative GDP growth between January and July 2023 compared with 2022. Overall the line is downwards from 0.3% (approx) in January 2023 to just above 0% in July 2023

Chart 3 is the bar graph showing comparisons of OECD and IMF forecasts for GDP growth for a number of countries including the UK. The bar graph shows that the UK is forecast by the OECD to have GDP growth of 0.3% whilst the IMF forecasts GDP growth at 0.5%. Japan, Canada, France, Italy and the world all are forecast to have higher GDP growth than the UK. Germany is forecast to have lower growth than the UK.
